Getting started with rowing
I returned the really expensive mountain bike a few weeks ago. It was too small and I also don’t need a super duper high end mountain bike. I don’t need to go any faster than I already go. In the meantime the ground is covered in snow and riding a bike out of doors is…

Goals for 2022
Here we go! 2022 a new year and new hope! Ok maybe not that dramatic but its a fun mental exercise to think about what I want to accomplish in the next 12 months. I did this last year and managed to meet a lot of them so maybe it will work this year too.…

2021 Review
What a wild year. The sequel to 2020 ended up exceeding 2020 by a bit and it hasn’t slowed up as we head into 2022. The United States capitol building witnessed its largest physical attack since the War of 1812. The global pandemic of whatever COVID is now called continued to grow and mutate and…

Solar panels vs Batteries
For our river trip next month we will want to keep some electronics charged up for photos and lighting. We wont have cell signal so the phone batteries will save a lot of power in airplane mode. I am also bringing a lot of batteries (8) for the GoPro so that I can take a…

Snowy Christmas
We had a wonderful snowy Christmas here in the south west of Colorado. We had a few days of snow management with the aid of a new snow blower. We managed to keep the driveway and decks clear of snow and ice. It was a lovely and relaxing weekend.

Operation Rescue Mailbox
The recent snow storm was warm so the snow was wet and heavy. When the snow plows cleared the state highway the almost blew the door off! My main job today was to get things upright and stable. We shall see how it holds up.

Snow Day
The forecast had been for snow today. Sure enough when we woke up the flakes were falling. I spent about 3 hours removing snow through the course of the day. Then we watched movies and tv shows the rest of the day.
